Hey there — I'm the guy behind Dogwood Photos. Dad of two amazing girls, born and raised in the Triangle, and completely in love with this community.
What started as snapping photos of my daughters at the park turned into something bigger. Friends started asking, then their friends, then neighbors. I realized I could offer something different — quick, affordable mini sessions that don't eat up your whole Saturday.
No stuffy studio. No hour-long poses. Just 15 minutes at a beautiful outdoor spot, and you walk away with photos you'll actually want to print. That's the Dogwood way.

All mini sessions are 15 minutes, outdoors, at a local park or public space of your choice. Simple, relaxed, and always affordable.

Questions
The base session includes a 15-minute outdoor photo shoot at a local park or public space of your choosing, plus 2 professionally edited photos delivered digitally within 7 days.
The Full Gallery includes everything in the base session, plus all edited photos from your shoot with no watermarks. Typically this means 10-20+ edited images depending on the session.
Yes! If you refer a friend or family to Dogwood Photos, you'll receive $5 off your next session once they book. The new family also gets $5 off their first session. Just have them enter your name in the referral field when booking — we'll take it from there!
Absolutely! If you start with the Base Session and love your photos, you can upgrade to the Full Gallery for the $20 difference within 14 days of receiving your images.
No travel fees for locations within the Wendell and greater Triangle area. If you'd like to meet at a location further out, just reach out and we'll figure it out together.

All mini sessions are 15 minutes. It's quick, fun, and you'll be surprised how many great shots we can capture in that time.
Mini sessions happen outdoors at local parks and public spaces in the Wendell and Triangle area. You can pick a location you love, or I'm happy to suggest beautiful spots nearby.
Wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident. Coordinating colors (not matching) work great for families. Avoid busy patterns and large logos. Earth tones, pastels, and neutrals photograph beautifully outdoors.
Yes! We love pet combos. Just make sure your pup is comfortable in public spaces and bring some treats. Leashes are fine — we can edit those out if needed.
Weather cancellations are always rescheduled at no charge. If the forecast looks iffy, we'll reach out 24 hours before to discuss options. Your session will never be wasted due to weather.
Cancellations made 48+ hours in advance are fully accommodated. No-shows forfeit the full payment. Late arrivals will receive reduced session time — we cannot extend past your scheduled window.
Photos are delivered digitally via an online gallery. Standard delivery is 7 days. Need them faster? Add Rush Delivery for $20 and get your photos in 48 hours.
Currently we deliver digital files only, but your images will be high-resolution and print-ready. We're happy to recommend local print shops in the Triangle area.
Our mini sessions work great for individuals, couples, and families up to about 6 people. For larger groups, reach out and we'll find the right setup for you.
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure online payment system. Payment is collected at the time of booking.
